Database centric design
Much of the speed and efficiency of GN3 is achieved by its core database design. Access to data is not achieved by transferring files from one application to another or moving content from computer to computer. Everything takes place in the central database. Access to data is provided by your system privileges and not by the condition of your network.
Remote access
Centralised data is of little use if you cannot access it when you are away from the office or indeed when you are working from a subsidiary office. GN3 utilises all the latest developments in telephonic connectivity from simple dial-in facilities to CITRIX based wide-area networks. A complete system on any computer, anywhere.
Integrated archive
A world of data at your fingertips can appear to be a world of data ‘just out of reach’ if your editorial system is not built with an integrated archive. Journalists want to know if the newspaper has information on a particular subject and don’t want to worry about in which system the data resides.
A GN3 user makes just one search for the information using the standard search mechanism – the system takes care of retrieving the information from either the wires database, the production database or the historical archive.

Tailoring your newspaper to the demands of specific geographical areas is a vital necessity nowadays in the publishing industry.
